I think he's having way too much fun down in deep Mississippi. As you can tell from these lovely photos. He's wearing his sweet Camo tie in these pics. We miss him-
And before we know it... Elder Blake will return to us as well! Time flies as fast as it should sometimes.
Missions are amazing. Everyone is called to where they should be for a reason. Just seeing and hearing how both Steven and Cameron have grown while out there serving. It's amazing. Seeing and hearing about all the people who they've shared the gospel with and baptised, it's Heavenly Father's work in action. I am so blessed to get to hear these great stories and see this mighty work. A great part from one of Cam's letters....
"I know why I'm here. You can look into the eyes of the people here and you can tell they recognize something. We had this one family..(his first) and it's crazy because when we met them..they had nothing. Josue actually asked us privately if we had any money so he could buy bread for his family. All he wanted was bread. He and his wife are actually a tribe that's a decendent of the Mayans. When they heard about the Book of Mormon, their faces lit up. They knew something. You could definitely feel the peace and calm in the room during that lesson. Since then they've been baptised and when we visit their house they always are able to serve us coca-cola and bread. You can feel the changed in their home and see the blessings they recieve because they have so much faith and are willing to be obedient. It's funny because they payed tithing the first time and a week later they had enough money somehow to buy a t.v.. Haha. It was a big deal...."
It's those kinds of stories that show that it's not only the people they're helping, but it's the change in them as well. I just love it.
Steven looks so good in such a short hair cut...and in a million years..I never would have imagined him playing the piano and singing infront of people. It's such a great testimony to me.
"Let each who's worthy go forth and share..."
