Wisdom teeth.
Nobody likes them,
nobody wants them.
Well I got mine out back in April. Nearly 9 months ago!
It was not a very pleasant experience. And like my friend Jared said, it's either nothing or a big deal. It hurts or it doesn't.
Mine happened to actually be a big deal. As time passes they heal over and everything just seems to be as normal as can be until two weeks ago. The one side just started swelling!!
It happened while we were up north and I didn't really understand so on Christmas Eve day I thought, okay...no more. So I called the Oral Surgeon's office that took them out and they happened to be open. So they had me come right in and get them looked at. There are many things that could happen like a granuloma or getting food stuck and irritating it.
After a week of antibiotics it wasn't really doing too much. So today was my check up appointment. It actually didn't go as well as I had hoped. I went in at 8:30 this morning, Dr. Dudley looked at it and decided he thought it was a Benign tumor!! AH! So they scheduled me to come back at noon and have it cut out! Just like that!
So I went back totally terrified and decided to just numb it instead of anesthesia. Bad idea.
I do not recommend sitting through something like that ever. It was painful, and scary, and not pleasant. So here I am just getting up and eating for like the first time today. Trying to eat is an interesting process. A giant hole that in no way could be stitched up when too much is missing!!
Still in the process of buying a house. It's a frustrating process. You put in offers and don't hear back and everything's a short sale and you don't hear back. 2 sometimes 3 banks must decide on an offer and it's annoying to be on the other end. Well me and my mom drove around killing time before my exciting appointment..and we saw this house that I really liked! Then we went and checked out this model home of this new subdivision and they're starting a new one in Little Valley. Something feels good about the houses we've seen today. We've been doing this whole house hunting thing with the mindset of the perfect one will come along and....we'll just have to see! We've got all the time in the world, I just can't imagine being one of those people who need a house asap. So we're looking with our Realtor probably tomorrow and the new ones haven't been built yet. It's hard because we love where we're renting I LOVE my jacuzzi tub, but now's the time to buy. So I have a good feeling in the house department, not so much in the tooth department.
I'm accepting anything from milkshakes to Cafe Rio...well...maybe not the rio.

ahh Jen I'm sorry you had to go through all that. That's no fun! But keep us updated on your house search. It sounds like your are well on your way!
that sucks...i keep putting off my wisdom teeth...yeah i know i should've had them out 5 years ago. Well Sean is going to be home on Mar 18th so were all very very excited!
Fer- That is terrible! I am so sad for you. I think on Monday you need a milk shake! A plain one with no candy to get stuck in your tooth hole! I went to your work today and you weren't there and now I know why! I will also present you will a special dance titled "a hippo for Christmas." Second thought, I don't want to make things worse! So did you get the tumor taken out? Tell me who you go to so I won't ever go to them if all they did was numb it!
ps- A NEW house sounds so fun! I think you should do it.
geeez sorry bout your mouth! ah
we are also in the process of looking for a house and i would totally agree with you that it is freakin frustrating! good luck!
Hey -- Jen, do you wanna buy our house??? We might be moving.... We love where we live and we were just going to put our house up for rent, but hey it's a great area... call if you're interested!
It's by Sand Hollow Reservoir.... It's right by the new Wal-Mart that is being built out there and there's a Maverik... It is a little ways out of town so I don't know if you'd want to be that far, but it's a way fun area!
