Riley has been a little more fussy than usual the last three days.
He is usually a really heavy sleeping baby. He LOVES his sleep. Just like his daddy. He's slept all through the night since he was 3 weeks old. (We know, that's not normal..and we won't expect it with our next. And Thank you to every parent on the planet for reminding us of that advice.)
Instead of hour long naps...he'd take 30 minute naps.
Instead of eating at a normal time....he'd cry as if he was hunger so much sooner.
We felt so guilty dropping him off with my cousin to go on a date and see a movie
because we knew he hadn't slept that day...or good the night before... or napped the day before that.
So today Jake text me and said,
"Found out why Riley's been fussy.
Our little man has a tooth.
It's already broken through!"
I was soooo excited! I never knew something like that could make me so happy! I'll never forget that feeling. And how that little boy is the excitement in my life and he doesn't even know it.
I then began telling everyone at work, "WE HAVE A TOOTH!" And putting my fist up in the air.
All of the newer parents congratulated me of course. They knew how exciting something like that can be.
And here I am home from work late and I cannot wait to wake up in the morning and inspect that little mouth of his. So proud of him for being strong and not even acting like he's in pain. At least now we'll know how to help him out and soothe the pain.
In the mean time, I have many many home projects that I will be finishing here soon and need to post. One post a month is not enough, I'm sure of it.
THANKS FOR READING!
