The First Six Months of Riley Jacob

Our little boy has grown so much since he was born! 

Its so sad to watch the time go by. But very enjoyable too.

Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad,

He's been to:

Fort Collins CO

SLC

Anaheim

Totaling 1443.5 miles

wow.

and that's only figuring one way

Just cut our 4th tooth. The most painful tooth for him this far.

He wouldn't even take his bottle. So sad.

Still loves his tubbys. He's moved to the big boy tub now,

but these pictures were so cute. His whale tub made it easy to contain his toys.

This kid loves to splash!

Crawling

Well he somehow seems to make it rolling all over the place. He can roll around and around the room. Gets up on all fours and scoots. I know he'll be crawling by Halloween. Excited and nervous at the same time. 

Naptime
He has a late morning and late afternoon nap. Typically up to 2 hours.

Never have a problem laying him down. But his naps are not scheduled.

I recently had this conversation at a hair salon about moms timing nap time.

I guess I just feel like...I'm never tired at the same time everyday. As long as he gets his regular naps each day... I guess I don't see the problem.

Eating Cereal

 We haven't exactly moved to baby foods (fruits & veggies) still getting used to the texture of cereal. And we've discovered... the airplane trick actually works to get his mouth open.

Who would have thought!

He loves his Mickey Ears.

Beach

 He's been to the beach. Got his toes in the sand.

Water

This kid loves water! Fountains, the bath tub, the faucet. We just got his new fountain out front and he could stare at it forever! 

Riley has his own fun room! Wish I could find some time to paint trees on his wall like I wanted...

 He was congested really bad when he was littler...so we have his humidifier. Its hilarious how he likes to lay in his crib and watch the steam. How would he pass his time without it.

 Riley has got the cutest personality. I love how much he smiles and laughs.

This is totally our six month boy in action. Been six months...and excited to see another six if its this good!

Carseat

Next week Riley will be ready to graduate to a big boy carseat.

Everytime we put him in his baby seat, his shoulders are so broad that we have to about cram him in. The time has come...
