9 Month old boy!
Riley's Christmas pictures were so much fun that it was hard to choose my favorites to post!
This is such a fun age! We can't even imagine the fun we have waiting for us when this boy starts talking!
At Nine Months:
Calls for Dada, Mama, Papa
Crawls on knees on carpet, and feet on the time (stink buggin')
(We had to let him wear skidders around because he'd get going so fast on the time he'd lose traction on his feet. I'll try to post some video later.
New Foods: Eating Cereal, Baby Puffs, Bread Pieces, Yogurt Bites
4 teeth on bottom, 4 teeth on top (two more coming in) 10 TEETH! wow.
Still wears his helmet.
When we're not looking he books it to his favorite spot in the house, the bath tub. We joke that he just wants to check on his toys... make sure they're okay in there. When we can't find him, that's where he is... standing looking into the tub.
Babbles really seriously when he's eating at the table. I don't know if he catches on to us talking to she joins in...but its serious.
Loves to be hang upside down. Whether its someone holding him or just watching tv that way. This kid loves it.
Stands on his own. Has taken his first steps. Got this bad boy for Christmas. We put it together and he just TOOK OFF! We were laughing so hard.
UNFORTUNATELY, we have to take it away from him at times. He gets the wheels ramed under the couch or he can't turn around and he gets REALLY frustrated. Mad even. We've been working on the solution called "turning". But he's a little too fast for it anyway.
If I remember right, this was him getting mad cuz it was stuck. Haha, we shouldn't laugh but it's so cute.
He loves every Baby Einsteins disc.
He loves music. When the tv is on... he doesn't pay attention too much until he hears a theme song,
I hope he doesn't get wipe lash because he whips his head so fast when songs come on.
He's even started to bounce when he hears music. It's adorable.
He loves to clap, and make others clap with him.
Here are some pics from Christmas.
He was soo crazy with his new ball pit. In and out, In and out.
We had the Monk family Christmas party at Grandpa's club house. That was alot of fun!
Riley could not get enough of the massive amounts of wrapping paper. Here he is plundging through it.
Our beautiful niece Aubrey! Such a honey!
Riley even wanted to help Great-grandpa open his gifts! (or he just wanted the paper, again.)
And again, Riley was gunnin' for the wrapping paper, even until clean up time.
Helpin' Dada build his new toy!
He loves it and I felt like it was meant to be that I found it for him. I ran across it online and it supposed to be sturdy enough for them to hold on to and walk around. I looked everywhere online and finally decided it must be discontinued.... well I was shopping at ToysRus and THERE IT WAS!
Thanks so much Santa! Riley loves it! Happiest kid in town!
Christmas 2011 was a good one!
