I read this quote a few hours before I went into to the hospital and it was in the back of my mind through the whole night I was in labor. It felt so appropriate because labor wasn't exactly painless. Labor and Birth and Epidurals and Nurses and Hospital food was all definitely a new experience for us. And Yes, he was totally nine pounds too! But luckly for me... I only pushed for 10min. max. 10 minutes feels like something to be proud of. He came so quickly! I'm so grateful my mom was there... because who was I kidding, I was terrified of it all. She's a trooper, she stayed up all night listening to me talk nonsense and do funny things with my throw up bag because I couldn't sleep. You could have called me delirious. I called myself hilarious. The anticipation was killing me.

Riley is such a good baby! We are so blessed! He hardly cries and is so much fun already! We still can't tell which one of us he really looks like yet, but he does have certain features of ours... We just love him. But we're all home, adjusting to the everyday life of a baby. We've enjoyed the visitors, the goodies, and gifts. Thanks to everyone! And after many many poopy diapers, I'm sure we'll still be loving it.
