Be a Hero.
Meet the Campbells
 Meet baby Weston
Weston was born in October at his home and after a week old came down with a rare form of meningitis. He was unfortunately left with some brain damage and has been in the NICU ever since. His parents had some issues with doctors and medicine and amazingly that's the only thing that has saved his little life. He has beat the odds and it is a miracle that he is here with us. He is such a sweetheart and having a baby of my own, I couldn't imagine how hard this must be for his mom.
As part of our donation to the Jubilee of Trees we also donated a tree to the silent auction and was graciously purchased by the Winterfield family and they chose for it to go to a NICU family. The Campbells were the chosen family for a tree since they were going to skip their first Christmas as a married couple and as parents. No one has the heart to let that happen. Their tree turned out absolutely beautiful.
 Strength, Faith, Love, Endurance
That's how Weston made it.
This tree meant alot to the parents, but it also meant alot to the whole NICU.
Their love is a huge part of him making it.
So it only felt right to put those words throughout the tree.
I'll never forget this experience I got to make such an impact in someone's life. Even though it was only a tree, its a memory that so many will never forget. Ken Wilson from the IHC is so full of Christmas spirit he's practically glowing. I just LOVE that guy. What a great example he is to me that this Christmas time of year, it comes without fail, is so chaotic, but he's showing me that it is SO much more than gifts and decorating...its about love and giving. I've challenged myself to remember this experience each year and do something at Christmas time that matters to someone else. Big or small. Make a difference. Be a hero.

Weston is supposed to (fingers crossed) come home by Christmas. We get to come back out when they bring him home. Can't wait! Merry Christmas!
